"My God is my Rock, in Whom I take Refuge"
Last year, I bought this little plaque that said this and put it on my wall. And it means a whole lot to me. It reminds me every single day of how good and faithful God is, has been, and will be in my life. My only constant, the One who will never leave my side, the One who has my back and won't ever let me fall, and who knows my weaknesses and struggles yet loves me abundantly.
1) My Rock. No matter what happened in my life, I knew that with God on my side, I always had a reason to stand. With everything that went down, from the time that I truly and wholeheartedly gave my life to Christ, to now, God has been the ONLY reason that I kept going. He is my Rock. Although trials came, relationships/friendships were tested, and doors were closed, my Foundation was Christ, and I trusted that everything was in His control. And it was. In my weakness, HE IS STRONG.
2) My Refuge. I KNOW that I can always run to God, and He won't ignore me. He hears my every cry, my every prayer, my every request, my every desire, even if I don't speak it. He is the only one who knows me inside and out, better than myself. And that's why I love Him. I know that I can come to Him, and He won't judge or condemn. I know that I can cry out to Him with no shame, because He cares for me, like a Father does for His child. In Him I take refuge and am safe. I know that in His arms, everything will be ok.
